Is my 8 month old hen broody?

Hi, I am new to backyard chickens! I have 10 hens and one rooster. Today, I went to visit my flock and one of my black australorps wouldn't leave her nesting box. I tried to move her out but she didn't want to leave. it is mid February here and it is very 20 degrees F. is it possible that she is broody, or is something else wrong? please let me know

Could be. Or could be she’s just taking forever in the box. I’ve had 5/6 month olds go broody and hatch babies. Keep an eye on her. Broodies only get up a couple times a day to eat and go to the bathroom.

Does she puff up and “growl” when u try to move her? If so, she is probably broody!

Does she growl/scream when you go near her ?
Does she peck at you when you try to touch her eggs ?
Does she fluff her feathers out and make a ticking noise when out with the other hens ?

im not sure, I didn't try to move her. I will try when I go see her in the morning. Thanks so much for the response!!

She could be broody. I had a 7 month old Buff Orp go broody, hatch and raise a batch of 10 chicks.
