She is 6 weeks old and a Americana.

She's a chicken, most certainly. Kinda hard to tell in that photo with the light, but I'm thinking hen.

Just for future reference, chicken is the species, not gender. Even roosters are chickens.

The correct terms are hen and rooster or, for chickens under 1 year old, pullet and cockerel.

Also that’s an Easter Egger.

But very pretty and I am leaning towards pullet for now.
