Hello. I guess I am "new" to chickens as I only have 2 banties, a hen and a rooster. The hen, Stella, is 2 years old and the rooster, Spray, is 4 months. They are both pets and stay in the house. Here are some pics:

Is Spray a red pyle? If so, will his color change? I bought him at Rural King for $1 so I have no idea about his heritage. I know Stella is a black breasted red old english game hen because the guy who gave her to me told me so.

I love my chickies and wish I could have a whole flock, but it's against the rules.

As young as he is he probably has a lot of red to add and should look a lot like that. That is a gorgeous pyle rooster, egh! Mine are always more red and less orange...

He's a Pyle with weak red. Breed him to that BB Red female & the chicks will have better red colour. He's mature enough that his colour shouldn't change much. They'll also have some black ticking you'll need to breed out over a few generations.

I would love to breed them, but she doesn't lay eggs and they don't really like each other. They stay in separate cages and pretty much ignore each other when they are out to play. Also, I don't think I'd be able to keep any more chickens as I live in the city and am not supposed to have them anyway.
