Is my barred rock a boy or girl?

Your barred rock is a cockerel. I can tell by the large, red comb and he has a lot of barring which makes his feathers look lighter.

Horrible news, my Room is dead! Idk what to think. My lab, who only eats chicken poop, never has been interested in hens, was outside when I got home. I guess I forgot to bring her in and my cat... There is Too/Etta, dead! I can't stop crying and can't find evidence it was either the dog or cat. My baby is gone and Idk how... I need help/ideas of what to look for on his body, his head was bloody, but no bite marks I think.

I had the same problems with my dogs the would kill them but they wouldn't eat them and the head was also bloody.
