Is my Barred Rock pullet possibly a roo??

ROO!

Just a look at the tail is telling me that. He also has a big red comb and wattles, as well as more white than grey(hens have more black than white).

Mine is already crowing and doing his thing, which is why I call him the mini stud. Yours will probably start crowing real soon, but it might depend on the flock dynamics with what you have and if you have any other older roo's around, he might not crow at all.

what makes you think that its a cuckoo marans? What are some of the different characteristics of between BR and CM? I think CM lay a dark chocolate egg and my BR lays a lighter brown egg.

Almost 4 months, roo or puller?

This is my 3 month old barred rock Maggie, She is suppose to be a pullet but im thinking she might be a roo. What has me thinking she might be is i have a mature barred rock hen and she is darker, has white feet/legs and has white beak. My pullet (maggie) has a yellow beak and yellow legs. An older man told me he thought barred rock roos have yellow legs and beaks and the hens have white (not sure if this is true or not). My pullet also has small bumps where spurs would be growing. Pls help me!!

I appologize about the picture being so dark.

Our three month old barred rock started making weak attempts to crow. It's hilarious. Have you heard anything
