Is my bird a black sexlink?

We got 2 chicks at a farmers market that were to be barred rocks. I read on byc that barred rocks have a white patch on top of there head. My chicks did not. Now they are almost 6 weeks old and are turning red around the neck and chest. Turns out that if they are black stars then the guy at the market was at least half right.

Yes, they look like Black Sexlinks. They are great layers! I have 2 and at 4 years old, they are still laying an egg every day.

I agree, but the white under the chin is interesting and they have mighty small combs for BSLs
