Because she's growing feather's slower, and her tail is sticking up in a roosterish way. I say this as a complete noob. I really have no clue. So, is she just a late developer, or is my little butterball a boy? Whick would be so sad because we can't have roosters in the city.

Here's a video. They wouldn't stay still for pictures. And don't worry, I cleaned up the poop with pet enzyme cleaner as soon as the video ended. That was just so gross!!

I'm not sure what sex it is, but your kids sound just like mine.

They are soooooo cute!! I thought I read somewhere that the ones that get tail feathers first are the pullets. I sure hope so because out of 25 three week old baby Australorps, we have 23 with nice long tails and two with fuzzy butts!! I think yours is a girl, I HOPE yours is a girl!

I hope it's a girl, too. We are already attached to them. Funny... I never thought it would be possible to love chickens!! I prefer them to my dogs. Haha!!

Anyone else have an opinion, please?

I will keep hoping girl! It is so cute, and is the friendliest of the bunch.

I have no idea boy or girl, but I really enjoyed listening to you talk to your chickens! Thank God I'm not the only crazy one that talks to my birds like that!
