Is my blue copper marans purebred?

The homestead I got my chicks from mixed them all up in the incubator. How can I tell if my blue cockerel is a pure blue copper marans or a mix of blue copper marans and silverudd? He’s got very lightly feathered legs.

He’s the one on the right. Any thoughts? Things/traits to look out for?

With Marans your looking for pink feet, single combs and blueish eyes at that age that will turn orangeish bay color along with the feathered shanks of course that you pointed out.

If your saying it's a Blue Copper there may be copper or not developing, but there shouldn't be any other color. Anything else would definitely point to a mix say if Silver leakage occurs for instance just for an example.

I may be mistaken but the toes look yellow to me? This will indicate it's a mix of some sort if true. Needs to be pink for Marans.

I know nothing about Silverudds so hopefully someone can chime in with more help.

Yeah the yellow toes would indicate that it's not a pure Marans.
