Is my BR hen growing up?

Today, I went outside to move the turks from the car coming down the driveway. My Toms are strutting as usual, but as I reached down to pet one of the hens she layed on the ground instead of slipping away quickly. Later, she did the same thing when I walked past her. The Toms didn't do anything but their usual strutting. Is she "propositioning?" If so, the Toms ignored it.

Yes she is doing what you call "propositioning". The toms may need a little more maturity before they get the message.
