This morning, we discovered three new chicks. Two seemed yo have been stepped on and killed and the third was rescued from momzilla the chicken. It is in its own box with the last three eggs that may or may not hatch. I'm not concerned about temperature right now. It's 104° And I have a heat lamp that is easy to set up. What worries me right now is that the chick is having a hard time holding its head up and doesn't seem strong enough to move or get comfy. It's legs don't seem to be working very well and I'm worried that Momzilla may have broken it's neck or something. I've never seen a chick hatch before (never in the right place at the right time) is this normal or should I prepare for the worst? Any advice is apreciated!
