Is my chick really boy ?

It’s been over a month since I asked about this but can anyone tell me forsure, when I pick him up now he does make a new noise like he’s trying to crow

Hmm, if it's a barred rock, I would think that he'd be lighter if it's a boy, it's legs aren't thick like a boys yet it's wattles are pinkish.
gut says boy.
