Jun 27, 2012 #1 cmn3 Hatching 7 Years Apr 2, 2012 2 0 7 We got the kids all chicks for Easter, they are about 10 weeks old and one is starting to make a cackeling noise in the mornings. We have looked at pictures and it is hard to tell if we have a hen or a rooster. What do you think?

Jun 27, 2012 #2 j and bs hens Songster 9 Years Feb 29, 2012 234 7 139 Vancouver Island Is it a leghorn?? We have a leghorn, and she had her comb/wattle grow and darken just before she started to lay, at 5 months. I'd say a roo. It's comb and wattle are large, and red for 10 weeks. Good luck!
