Is my chicken a pullet or cockerel

I’ve never had barred rocks before so I have nothing to compare to. I have one that is supposed to be a pullet, but makes crowing sounds so I’m confused. It is about 3.5 - 4 months old.

Definitely a cockerel.
Because of the way this color pattern is inherited, males will be paler in color, and females darker. Then, there are the bigger comb and wattles, and the pointed hackle feathers developing.
If you also have BR pullets, it's easy to see the differences.
