My hen 1/2 year old Sussex hen has been quarantining herself from the other hens she won’t except her favourite treat doesn’t run around she does more of a slow walk she just sits there in a corner. We recently had a dog attack one of our hens she was in the same batch as her.

is she eating, could you take a picture of her comb and wattle if she makes noises what kind of noises does she make? I'm no expert but I think she could be especially when she lost a flock member that she grew up with, I had a chicken react like this too. she could also be sick how does she act

She can be stressed and mourning. I’ve read about this several times. It takes a week or two in general to pass.

My flock was very timid for a week or two when the leader disappeared (probably taken by a big bird 🦅). So if it was you’re Sussex best pall, she can be upset for a while. Give here some time to grieve and spoil her a little with an extra treat.

She won’t eat I’m not home so I can’t take a picture of her comb she won’t drink a lot has been eating some treats she is being quarantined just in case she is sick Not making a bunch of noises sorry for posting late

Do you think k once you get home you could maybe make her some mash like give her some of her feed and put some water and mash it up don't put too much food bc she might not eat it, does she drink any water i think the options are 1. she is maybe stressed out and sad that she lost her friend or 2. shes sick

She does appear to be sick. I would do a thorough check of her crop and vent area; I would not feed anything at all until you know the crop is functioning properly - especially not oatmeal which is high in carbs and can contribute to sour crop if that’s what’s going on. It’s more important to figure out why she’s not eating rather than tricking her into eating treats - isolation should help you observe crop / poop / overall behavior.
