Is my chicken sick or just nasty?

She looks very lethargic and sick. It could be a number of things. Can you feel inside of her vent and see if you feel any egg shell? It's not hard to do, just get some mineral oil, lube her vent and then gently insert your finger and feel around.

it definitely looks like she is pooping out egg white.. she could have a broken egg inside her, I would suggest using oil and feeling around in her vent for shell pieces. You can also continue to give her warm bath soaks and massage her abdomen to help move along any eggs that are stuck in there. You should probably keep a blanket over her cage, the darkness will stop her from laying so no more eggs will stack up and cause more problems. Good luck! I hope she improves!

Okay, so this is probably a dumb question, but should I feel shell pieces inside her vent, what do I do? Will they come out on their own or do I need to try to get them out?

Wow, raising chickens is not for the squeamish is it?

Is she has a broken egg inside you should be able to feel it. If it's soft shelled eggs, you may or may not find the membrane. If this is what it is, yes it needs to come out. Let her soak in a warm bath for about 30 minutes and give her a massage around her vent area.

my chicken had the same symptoms about six weeks ago, she was having A LOT of trouble passing her shelles egg, I gave her a warm bath and then stuck my well oiled finger into her vent and managed to hook out the membrane and some of the white. Then when no yolk came I gave her another bath and wrapped her in a towel. later she passed a yolk that was surrounded in her own membrane? anyway she got all the egg out but she hasn't laid an egg since. other then that she is normal.
wish that I could help you more, but I'm still figuring out what to do myself.
