is my chickens laying fertile eggs right now?

We have a super broody hen. We got her 6 wks ago. Is it possible for her to lay fertile eggs bc there are at least 5-8 eggs under her. I picked her up and she went ballistic and that’s when I realized there were all those eggs under her.
What is the time period from the rooster to the laying of the fertilized egg.
If they are fertile what do I do?

If you don't want chicks, take the eggs away. Technically speaking, a hen can be fertile after one covering, for about a month. Did you see her mate? Candle the eggs to check progress.
