Now that I have gotten that off my chest.
Where we live in the UK the foxes are out even in the daytime. If it is the same where you are and if they are able to go under or over your fence then they can still get to your chickens while you are home. I personally would either put wire all around the outside edge (outside the coop & run but attached to the frame) and anchored to the ground with pegs or put wire underneath the run area (maybe even the coop part to prevent mice or rats from tunneling under and chewing up through the wood). I would also at least spot clean the coop everyday. My chicks are very poopy and the older ones are only just over 4 weeks old. I clean their brooder (without a light) at least once a day because they are out most of the day. The amount they can poo in just one night and asleep is amazing.
