Is my Delaware really a Delaware?

I read some place that Delawares have a single comb. Well...mine has a pea comb. Is she still a Delaware?

Or does she have a single comb but it's just really small?

She is about...23 weeks old

That's a single comb, not a pea. Yes, I'd say she's a Delaware. This is a pea comb for comparison. Pullets rarely get huge combs till they are about to lay. Are you sure yours is 23 weeks old? Seems pretty young.

It will grow larger. Gosh, my 11 week old Delawares seem as large as yours. Are you sure of her age? The Delaware pullet in this pic is 11 weeks old.

I do ship eggs and plan to do so with the Delawares when they begin laying.

I'm not fast enough to get in on the BST free-for-all, but I'd dearly love to try some of your Delawares.

I'll be glad to. It will be awhile since they are very young yet, but these are awesome and worth the wait, I think. The hen is post #15 on this thread is their grandmother.
