I have a muscovy drake who, other than just before, is an absolute sweetheart who mostly just nibbles on fingers (a bit more aggressive than nibbling but it isn’t biting more like a toddler chewing on everything that fits in its mouth) he’s bitten my parents before but, as his mum, I just give him a pat and pay him some attention and he’d be all happy again. He’s never attacked me before this point and although it’s small he broke my skin, after telling him off by ruffling his feathers a bit he calmed down and now is happy to get pats and talk to me.
If he is aggressive how do I stop it before he gets worse? He does have a younger duck who we got to be his friend and he’s about 3/4 months now, our duck is about 2/3 months.

That doesn’t sounds very aggressive just normal duck behavior. I wouldn’t do anything right now but if he starts chasing and biting hard and it bothers you, you can gently put your hand on his back and hold him down some when he does it to let him know you’re the boss. Also I just read how young he is and pretty much all ducklings nibble on you if they aren’t too scared to be around you

Thank you :)) I was a little worried since I’ve never dealt with an aggressive animal before the most being a rabbit I had when I was little who despised the world and everyone in it. I’m glad to know he’s not mad at me probably just a little grumpy cause I didn’t say hi to him when I woke up.
