Hi! I am new to ducks and i noticed my duckling having some missing fluff on its neck. I thought I will go away but it looks like it’s spreading on its back and wings.

Hi! It looks like that duckie is molting its fuzz and is starting to grow feathers. I don't own ducks, but this happens to my chicks every time. The spots are barely noticeable on your duckling though. What a cute duckie in some nice sunshine!

I was actually thinking about asking you the breed because I have no idea

All I do know is it is a very very adorable little mallard derived ducky

As mentioned, your duckling is simply losing its fluff, and soon will be replacing them with juvenile feathers.

Her black bill is indicative of a Welsh Harlequin duck. At her age, the only way to determine sex would be to vent sex - if you wait a few more weeks you'll be able to sex the duckling by voice. Males will make raspy/peeps, while the females quack.
