Hello.! I bought a young pair of mallards and they are brother and sister. However,my hen doesn't look like mallard because, she is more light brown than mallard hens and hasn't the black bars on her head. Also my drake has started to grown green feathers on his head and now looks like a beautiful mallard. Please i would like to hear your thoughts about this and i wish they are both mallards!

Here are some pictures of the wild mallards that were in our back pasture, then a few of our own khaki campbell girls.

ohh thank you very much!Khaki campell ducks are very beautiful but for the only thing that i am sad, is that khaki campell ducks i have read that never go broody! Also, i live in Cyprus where it is very difficult to find ducks to buy!

I wouldn't say never. There are always certain specimens that go against the norm for breeds. While KCs may not be known for being broodies some do in fact become broody.

Kevin565 and CelticOaksFarm ,thank you for your answers!:)) I didn't know that. Now i am happy and i hope one day my khaki campell hatch her eggs(she is young enough so,she isn't laying yet)
