Is my duck ok?

When I bought my duck on the side of his head is a puff of fluffy fur. (mallard btw) well I want to know if thats dangerous or is he or she gong to loose it wonse it gets its feathers in....?

Sounds like you have a crested Mallard! If it is a crested, it will have a poof of feathers on its head. Like this but with mallard coloration:

Yep thats a crest and your duck is perfectly fine. When he gets his adult plumage that crest will be all fluffy feathers...kind of like and afro on a duck

cool, thanks. I got that duck from a feed store. I talked to my sisters friend and he told me that its inbreed, and I was like "NO!!!!"

but now i'm happy that i looked at photos of crested, it does look like one

Yeah... with ducks inbreeding doesn't cause defects until it is done for many generations.

yeah thats what I was told.... now i'm going to have to yell at my sisters friend for scaring me lol
