Is my duckling sick?

Okay did you dad mention soemthing called faliure to thrive? this is when an animal no matter what you do just will not thrive , it maybe genetic or possibly something went wrong during incubation, but most of the time they will just stop thriving. I would talk to dad about this. I still think vitamin therapy ,keeping him warm and quiet is the route to go now. and how is he doing as far as eating? and does he seem to enjoy having his buddy with him?

Do you have a heat lamp for them? My brothers chicken died because of a lack of heat, so maybe your little guy just needs to be warm. Also, ducklings always need a lot of water, so make sure it has water regularly.

No he has heat, food, and water. He is just really weak and can't use his legs. I put him in water and he didn't paddle at all just floated.

He will eat and drink though not a lot. He still has his buddy with him. Right now I'm praying it's rickets or something treatable. He was very active before. Last night he was limping on one leg and now he can't use either and his eyes are all glassy

And my dad did say it could be a deformity or something neurological

I would also give him activated charcoal in his water. A teaspoon per cup of water. It absorbs toxins.
