Is My EE A He?

I wouldn't say either way yet, the color could end up making sense in its adult pattern. I had a pullet that got a red patch early on. She ended up just being a big redish hen who laid green eggs. Post more pictures in a few weeks, we should have a better idea of what the color means in the context of its pattern
Thank you so much! I appreciate it. It's such a pretty bird. I hope it's female, but either way, I can't wait to see how it grows.

Right now I've got 4 proven males. The youngest I will definitely be rehoming because he's the same breed as Gilbert. I don't need 2 of them. I've got 2 porcelain d'Uccles now, and one of them may be rehomed as well, depending on how their temperaments turn out. That would leave me with 2 males, if everyone else is female. And 8 to 10 females. I probably still need more pullets for 2 males.
That depends on the temperment of the males. I currently have two males with 8 pullets. Even with them all being penned because of the chicks, the males aren't fighting or overbreeding the girls.

That's good to know. I'm not planning to buy more chicks until after the holidays. So if I run into any male temperament issues, I'll have to rehome. That'll be the only reason I do, though. Except for the one young SB d'Uccle. I don't really see a reason to have more than one male of any color right now.

I'd wait until the males pass the 12-14 week mark. They tend to be jerks when their hormones are raging, but mine settled down after that. Also don't be afraid to thump them if they get rowdy with you during that time. They'll learn to respect you and that you're not a flock member, but a keeper.
