Is my EE a hen or a roo?

I'm new to this and have a blue EE roo, with blue, white, black and brown-black EE hens. So if I breed the blue roo on my girls what will I get?

The answer is--hard to tell. Because EEs are mutts, you have no idea of the genetics (or even the breed) of their parents are and can only make the most basic of guesses as to the colors of their offspring.

If your blue rooster and blue hen are true blue, then you'll get 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash offspring.
Blue X Black = 50% blue, 50% black
Blue X white = if she's true white, then the white will cover the blue and you'll most likely get 100% white offspring.
Blue X Brown/Black=???

Thanks, that's awesome info!! I will just have to see what we get next spring. If any of my hens go broody I'm thinking of hatching out some to see what they make. It will be fun to see what happens. I'm sure they are not true anything

. They are just some birds from a local farmer. I just picked some pretty colors and did not ask to many questions. I have some other hens from McMurray (one black australorp, one partridge rock, two white leghorns, two silver spangled hamburgs, and a buff orp that I think is also a roo). So it is an interesting coop for sure!! I really appreciate your input. I have never hatched before so that is my project for next spring.
