Is my egg dead?

I have a duck egg on day 33. Roughly 1 and a half days ago I heard lots of chirping but after I woke up I didn't hear anything. I waited about 12 hours before I candled the egg but I saw that there was no movement. What should I do?

Are you incubating a solo egg??? I would wait one more day and give up then.
Sometimes things just don't work like we would expect them to.
