Hi everyone. I am a brand new chicken owner. Four weeks ago we got 10 Barred Plymouth Rock hens. Sadly one of them didn't survive. Out of the nine, one of them is a much lighter grey and white color and the rest are black and white. A friend of my hubby's said the grey one is a male due to the coloring. I'm really hoping that's not the case as we are not allowed to have roosters here in my area and I've already fallen in love with this little chick and even named her after my grandma. They are all currently asleep under their heat-plate so I can't get a picture but will update with one tomorrow if needed. TIA.
