Is my girl getting ready to lay?

So last year I got a wyandotte as a chick. She is now approx 9 months old and has yet to lay but today i caught her in the nest box. when she got out there was no egg but this mean she is about to start laying? all of my other girls (excepting my bantam polish) have started laying and I'm really hoping thats what this means.

Sounds like it, my hen does that, she does her long bawk sound, and runs in and out of the laying box. Must be trying to take a mental note when she really does need to lay. Have you felt her abdomen? Sometimes you can feel a egg in there.
