Is My Goat Pregnant

I bought a goat a month ago and now i think she is pregnant she was not very healthy when i got her but now her belly is really big she seems uncomfortable when she is lying down and she is grunting while lying down she is a nigerian dwarf dairy goat i was just wondering if anyone knew how to see if a goat was pregnant without a vet ultrasound or drawing blood?

Welcome to BYC! You might want to post in the section of 'Goats'. I have goats, and I have not done any other things to see if one of them are expecting.

It's very possible that she is pregnant. Is her udder filling?

Do you have a male too or just the doe? Our pygmy doe goes into heat about every 30 days or so and when she's in heat, her behavior changes toward the male. She's accepts his advances but once she gets pregnant, she doesn't want anything more to do with him until after the birth. Once she gets closer to delivery, her belly drops and there's a kind of hollowing that happens around her hip bones. And shortly before delivery she loses a mucous plug. That might be more than you wanted to know, lol.

This is just what we've found with our goats, I'm certainly no expert on the subject so you best go over to the "other pets/livestock" forum and see what they say.
