Is my heat lamp too hot?

The babies are not getting right under the light. Is it too hot or should I leave it so if the get cold they can go under to warm up?

Does the room temperature change, so the temp under the light changes? If they are indoors in a room where the temperature is basically constant, you need to raise the light. If they are in their outdoor coop so it will get cooler under the light as air temp drops st night, then I would leave it alone.

Agree. Their body language says you need to lower the wattage or raise the lamp.

They are in the house and I have a space heater keeping the temp at 70 in the room. Ill try raising the light. Thank you !!
