I've got an older hen, 4.5ish years, doing funny things.

I'm pretty convinced she's losing sight in her left eye?

She'll take a few steps, look at something toward the left, crane her neck sideways and then sidestep. The same type of maneuver a chicken does if there's something on the ground they want to avoid walking on. Sometimes it's quick, other times she almost walks in a full circle avoiding the invisible ground object.
Sometimes she walks into things...
At first this was only on occasion, but now it seems way more pronounced and frequent.

She appears to do fine with the flock free ranging all day. She can get up onto a roost, although she does it a bit awkwardly. Otherwise health appears good.

What do you make of this? Ever had a hen go blind?

Yep, I forget which does which but one eye sees close and one far away on a chicken so gradual loss of sight in one eye makes for some odd behavior wether it be from age or disease.

Ever had a hen go blind?
Yep, on one side during a heat stress/stroke event.
I held her and brought my hand toward her head from the side,
she reacted on the 'good' side and did not react on the 'bad' side.
She recovered a couple days after getting some electrolytes in her.
