Is my little Barnevelder a cockerel?

Hello,

My Barnevelder, Trout, is 4 weeks old and I'm thinking they might be a rooster given how fast their comb has come in compared to my other chicks but I'm not sure. They also carry themself very upright and quickly surpassed all the other chicks in size and feathering very early on.

Any additional insights?

I suspected as much. I was hoping for one rooster in my bunch and I'm thinking he might be it.

You’re Welcome! I have two (female) Barnevelders and they are such a great (and kind of underrated) breed IMO. Hope he grows up well and lives a happy and healthy life in your flock!
