Is my polish a hen?

Golden laced bearded polish pullet. No wattles cause of the beard like JedJackson said. The dome shape looks more like a pullet than a cockerel to me.

Sorry, but my opinion is that is a very obvious cockerel.

The crest shape, the hackles pattern and shape, the tail shape.
Also, I had quite a few pullets with weird tails. Over time, their tails start to look more uniform. No male saddles nor hackles.

My polish cockerel has been crowing for weeks and he's just barely 2 months now. He also has sickle and pointed hackles feathers. The feather pattern on yours plus age and other things already pointed out are all pointing to hen. 😊

I think I need a close up in-focus pic of the head and comb while the chicken stays still.

I'm happy to be wrong btw. I'd very much like to be wrong about a lot of the young cockerels I suspect in my own flock! 😂

The bearded Polish females tend not to have perfectly rounded crests unless they are expensive show birds. Look at the feathers in the crest. They are short and wide, with rounded edges, not thin, narrow and pointy, as they would be in a 7 month old Polish cockerel.
