Is my quail choking?

It just occurred to me that you said the bird was only two weeks old. Unless they've eaten the feces of a bird with worms or been exposed to dirt, bugs, or vermin they don't have worms.

It's been in the brooder since it hatched, along with the other 6 chicks.... The other bird was exhibiting the same symptoms but both of them are better today, I haven't seen them do it so much anymore, maybe twice... maybe it's that crop thing or something stuck in their throats..

I'll pulverize their food even more, there were tiny bits still, i thought it would be OK but I guess not.

Thanks!!

You don't want to get it too powdery it causes more respiratory issues. It's water soluble so as long as they can drink something they won't choke to death on pieces of food they can fit in their beak.

One of mine does that as well, I'm not sure If it's normal but it look like they're gulping or swallowing the water.
One of my quails does this constant head, beak open motion/shaking its head like they do when they're drinking water. But it's doing it ALL the time... it will break for a quick nap, but almost all of its waking moment is spent doing that... I also haven't heard it peep for about a week. It's only 1.5 weeks old, is it choking?
