Well i'm trying to have a litter of rabbits useing my 3 year old doe. I put her in with my older buck and she lifted her tail and my buck mounted her twice falling to the ground each tine after he mounted her. Is this enough? I also have a younger buck I could put her with. Can you put 2 bucks on a doe one after another?

I breed Californians and I usually leave my bucks in with my does at least three to five days. When I first started years ago I would let them mount them three or four times and take them out,I would get three to six babies. Now that I leave them together for all them days I usually average between 8-12 each litter.I hope this helps you.

Has this doe ever had babies before?? 3 is kinda old to be starting ..

Sounds like they were plenty anxious to start though .. *grin*

If it were me, I would breed them several days in a row .. in case he was shootin' blanks .. or until she won't allow him (sometimes an indication that she is pg)

Then be ready with a nest box in about a month...

i suppose you could with the bucks...it depends on what you are going to do with the babies. You wont be able to make out a correct pedigree for them if you use both bucks. But if you dont need a ped. and just want her pregnant then you could- just take her from one cage to the other but dont put the bucks together with her or anything.

I have a doe that is five years old that had babies this year. It was her first litter in a coupl eof years. I would say give her a couple of tries, then keep her as a pet if she doesn't take.

Just because he's mounted and fell off doesn't mean she has took. Best thing to do is to wait. Try rebreeding her again if she doesn't have a litter in 32 days.

She ought to be pregnant. I personally wouldn't leave a doe in with a buck for an extended period of time. Sometimes she will attack him and chew him up pretty good. Most breeders just put the doe in and let the buck breed her once or twice and then repeat in a few hours. You might be well advised to get Storey's book on raising rabbits. It is by Bennet and it is worthwhile.
