Is my serama egg dead?

Hi all, been incubating my egg since 27th dec. I think its dead as no veins are formed...its day 6 today should i continue incubating it?

It has been like this for 2 days, the difference between yesterday and today is that the yolk stopped floating around whenever i turn it and it became darker red

The first day of incubation is starts 24 hours after you set. What temperature are you at and is your machine calibrated?

The temperature was 39 deg celsius for the first 3 days and then 37 for the next 3 days. I think i shouldnt have lowered the temp

I believe I can see some of the embryo starting to form. I would recandle on day 12 and see how it looks.

You didn't kill it, just slowed it a bit. Did you calibrate the incubator?

I would continue incubating it for a few more days, maybe even a week more, just to be sure. More time usually makes it more obvious whether the egg is developing or not.

I better leave it alone and try candling next sunday hopefully eggie survives!
