Is my silkie chick black or blue?

This silkie chick, Pancake, just hatched today, and I can't tell if it's black or blue! Her mother is a blue silkie and her father is a black silkie. I was leaning a little bit towards black, but I'm not sure. What is she?

Adorable chick!

It looks black right now, but it is still wet. When you cross a blue with a black you get 50% blue and 50% black, so it could be either.

After she/he dries, could you post another picture? I would love to see which one it is.

The lowest chick is my black silkie as a baby. I think she was completely black when hatched. I would still guess yours is black. And its still very cute!
