Is my Silkie's comb good?

Does he have a good example of a walnut comb? Is it furrowed enough? Too red?

It is redder than I prefer, and you would need to pull the crest back with your finger to show the very top of the comb for a better critique (to look for evidence of horns and if the top of the comb follows the definition of walnut). From what I can see it looks ok, some judges might remark it could/should be smaller but I think some of the really small combed cocks don't have as much breeding drive. Could use a crease across the middle.

I hope other people step in. This is my personal opinion, and again, another picture or two would be helpful.

I think it's a nice looking comb. We all like them as dark as possible, but the standard states "mulberry" and that is what your boys is. I think the size is perfect for an adult. I've seen some God awful looking combs that look like huge wads of bubble gum on their beaks.

JMO...
