Is My Wyandotte Rooster Crele???

They aren't accepted wyandotte colors that I could find, but my standard of perfection isn't the most recent edition and I am *not* an expert by any means. I do love the coloring, though. Beautiful bird.

I think crele is the closest description you're going to find. I wonder what his background is. Beautiful!

Are crele or golden cuckoo accepted colors for wyandottes? I suspect he is mixed, but is a nice looking bird. Maybe you can start a new color

Nope!

There are nine (9) recognized colors for large fowl Wyandottes.
Silver Laced,
Gold Laced,
White,
Black,
Buff,
Partridge,
Silver Penciled,
Columbian,
Blue.
Bantam Wyandottes have ten (10) recognized colors.
The 9 above and then the Buff Columbian.

I am going to venture a guess that these have Dominique and Wyandotte in them. Any opinions?

He's not a true crele; I think he is closer to golden cuckoo, but I am only slightly familiar with that colouring. Crele would have a coloured wing triangle.

Well thanks for all the input, I have a Bantam Black Wyandotte Rooster and they mystery rooster is very proportional in size, just slightly larger. Who knows?
