I have a silkie that had went broody, I let her set some eggs, and now three have hatched. One hadn't yet. She still sat like she was setting eggs. I figured it was because the one hadn't hatched. She did grab someone else's egg though and that worried me. Well, last night I looked and she was off both eggs and sitting in a different spot but with the chicks. I heard the one chick in the egg peeping (finally!) and I brought it in put in my incubator and a couple hours later it hatched. This morning I go out there and she is still sitting. She isn't ON anything but she is still in there. I had put food in there and I have seen the chicks and her peck at it here and there but still... I know that people say they will spend a lot of time in there for the first week but shouldn't she bring them out at least once!? I haven't had a broody mama that hatched and kept the chicks so I am as new to this as she is and I want to make sure she is doing this right.
Oh, and I put the incubator hatched chick back in there with them. Hasn't seemed to be a problem so far. Funny thing is out of the four, the three hatched under her are perfect. The one that took three or so hours in my incubator to hatch its outer toes want to curl under the others. Nature just does it so much better, I guess.

Any help in what she SHOULD be doing and what to look out for would be appreciated.
