My Dynatrap has been doing double duty with the OK humidity, and my 8-9 week old chickens are loving the spoils! Majority consists of greenflies, June bugs, beetles, mosquitoes, moths, etc.

Dynatraps only use uv light as an attractant, and a fan to suck them in and pin them down until they dehydrate.

My method consists of dropping the collection basket in their coop every few days.

Is it possible for them to get hurt from too much protein? Any other risks?

I don't expect any issues from this since chickens naturally scavenge for bugs for their normal diet. It might be a good idea to make sure they are eating their normal feed too for nutritional balance reasons.

About how much does this gather? And how many chickens do you have?
