Well you could do mail order but you have to get more than one chicken. There are a few hatchery's that sell a few chicks at a time. If you are interested PM me and I will tell you the name and what I think about them

I think the only place you can my small amounts from is mypetchicken. They charge more per bird because you only get a few (most hatcheries have a 25 chick minimum for heat). Most hatcheries sex their chicks, so you can buy pullets.
if you want definate for sure pullets, I suggest getting sexlinks.

Why is there a better chance for pullets with sexlinks?
