Oh I wasn't commenting on the dogs actions- I was commenting on your statement about feeding him acid.
I'm very sorry about your horses! But that's like saying 2 doctors misdiagnosed my cancer so ALL doctors are quacks. I worked with small and exotic animals - I haven't a clue about horses nor do I pretend to know anything about them. Nor do I know a thing about Georgia other than its location on a map- so I can't speak for how educated/dedicated vets are in that state. BUT I can tell you how hard the doctors I know worked for their job and how much they cared about their patients. We saw some crazy stuff roll in thru the door and I'd say over half of it was caused by the owner and probably another quarter was made worse by owner neglect (meaning the animal would have been fine had the owner not waited 3 weeks to bring it in). I'm not saying that's what happened in your situation! Accidents happen doctors are human and they make mistakes- unfortunately sometimes mistakes cause the death of an innocent being. You're right animals can't say what's wrong- but usual the symptoms can and that's why they go to school for so many years to learn how to read symptoms. Often humans can't say what's wrong either- a stomach ache could be a multitude of problems.
So are you saying that your really DO rinse your dogs mouth with acid?? Actually I'm thinking I'm not going to want to hear your answer. So disregard the question.
