Is Poulin Grain's barley good for fodder?

Any one have luck sprouting Poulin Grain's whole grain barley? It's a feed barley (hulled) not a seed barley but it's what I have easy access to.

I'm afraid that the hulling process may have injured the grains. Is there any way that you might obtain a small quantity and run a 'test' sprouting?

That's what I'm fearing too. I can only get it as a 50lb bag for $23 so if it doesn't sprout I'm out the $. I'm sure I could use the barley but I'd rather get something I know will sprout.
