Is save a chick probiotic / electrolyte work on sick chickens ?

Are your hens healthy? If they are, I don’t think they’ll need the probiotics.. 3 years isn't actually super old, most chickens can live up to 5-10 years.

If your hens are happy and healthy probiotics or electrolytes are not needed.
Your hens are actually not old. They can live for a long time.

If your hens are not actually sick, they do not need the extra probiotics.

Three years is only the beginning of middle age for most breeds. A lot of chickens (especially healthy backyard flocks) can live to be 8 or older, and most hens will continue laying weekly until the age of 5-7. Your hens still have some years of life ahead of them.
