Is separating roosters necessary?

You will have to see how they behave as they mature. They may fight, or not. They may get along great but torment the pullets to the point that they can't eat, drink or dust bathe in peace. One or both may start becoming aggressive to people. Having a dog crate on hand in case things go bad would be helpful.
We have a smaller coop in case that happens! Fingers crossed that thing go smoothly..

You can try it, a lot of people are in your position really loving the birds, roosters are so outgoing when young. However, that is a lot of roosters for two hens, and there is a very real possibility that it will go south. Have a plan B set up and ready to go.

Very often it does not work, maybe you will be lucky.

Depends entirely on the rooster. Some may fight like cats and dogs, while others leave each other alone for the most part (besides the occasional, normal dominance scuffle). You'll just have to evaluate their behavior after maturity hits. :)

Out of 30-40 some roosters, I've personally only separated two. That's a story for another day. ;)

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how things go! I have another coop that I can use if needed just really hated to separate them unless absolutely necessary. Thanks for your response.

Mine scuffle and act “bad” with each other but I can tell that the older they get, the less often they do this. Mine only free range in the afternoon while I’m home because of “ neighborhood dogs” that's owners don’t care if they come or go.. but that’s a different story..☺️

As long as they're not physically injuring each other, everything's perfectly fine. :) Hopefully little tiffs will diminish with age!

You may not have problems until next spring when hormones will ramp up again. Many times 2 roosters doesn't work because they only focus on each other and will continue to fight. As stated they are all individuals. Time will tell.
