Is she a buff Brahma?

I have 2 10 week old buff brahmas, every picture I pull up of a BB it looks exactly like one of my girls, but my other BB girl has black patterns all over her. Is she still a buff Brahma? A mix of BB & something else? Or a different breed all together? I got all of my chicks from AG Care, Im not sure which hatchery they use though.

I wonder how she acquired the patterns if she is a BB. Maybe a different breed of Brahma down her line?

Not likely. The hatchery just doesn't cull for defects.

My brahma is the biggest sweetheart ever <3 she's in my avatar. She will sleep on my lap for long periods of time if I let her. She was NOT hand reared and I adopted her as an adult. I had her for two years before I decided I'd put her on my lap when I noticed she will constantly stand next to me when I am sitting and give me the snake eye. I just picked her up and plopped her in my lap and she's been a lap chicken ever since.

Aww! That is so sweet! You’re incredibly lucky. I have to do forced-love on mine. I’m always sitting in their run with a chair & a few of them will jump onto the chair arm & hangout or lay around & under me.
