We have had this baby australorp for two weeks and she is growing HUGE. Think she is a rooster? If it is looking that way then I want to trade her out for another chick before my kids get too attached. This one is also meaner than the our other loving chicks.

Its kinda a little young to tell, but dont get rid of him/her yet, one of my chicks was so much bigger and such a bully and turned out to be a girl.

Post pics again in 2 weeks and we will be able to tell youu!!!
Just a tip, try not to let your kids give them names yet. wait untill 2 months to be completley sure about gender, much better if things go turn out to be...well you know what i mean

Way to young to tell. I agree with the above post ^ post new pics in 2-3 weeks and don't let your kids name them

With Aussies, you can not go by size at that age. I have had girls shoot up like bean poles at 2 weeks, and other girls look like tiny chicks, all from the same batch of babies. Now usually, not always, but usually a Roo Aussie will start to get his comb in, turning red at 2 or 3 weeks. The girls will get their combs in early as well, however they won't turn red for many months to come.

So if you are correct with the age of that chick, I am going to say that is MIGHT be a girl. Watch that comb. If it does not start shooting up fast in the next 2 weeks, AND turn red, it is a girl.

Oh and
