She was sold to me as a she but I am wondering if she is a he.. lol She has been pecking the othering like crazy. Not sure if she's just the dominant one or if she's a roo.

I don't know a whole lot about chickens but from the way the tail is sitting i think its a roo. With a lovely hair do! :D

I could be wrong though considering i don't see a comb or cheeks?

Is that a Wyandotte / Polish mix?

Also not an expert but those neck hackles look pointy to me, and overall posture appears rooster. Hens have round-tipped neck, and saddle feathers, whereas roosters are pointed. This is the best way to identify for certain that I know of.

I was thinking roo but they insured me it was a hen. She/he was sold to me as a golden polish hen.

Examine the neck feathers up close. Don't trust just opinions based on a picture. I believe the pointed neck feathers are as strong an indicator of a rooster as spurs or crowing. Maybe someone can confirm if that is a good comparison or not (some breeds might be more similar). The laced feathers with those black outlines may just look more pointed in the photo than they are in reality. I'm fact, the picture is blurry when so zoom in.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm really trying to learn so the details are so helpful.

Thank you that helps.. The feathers do not seem pointy but rounded.. Here are a few new pictures I just took of the neck feathers and crest.
