Is she an Ameraucana?

So all are Easter Eggers! Interesting. How are they different from ameraucanas? I’m wondering how easy it is to tell.

Our rooster is a golden laced Wyandotte so I wonder how their babies will look!

Stunning Easter Eggers! :love

Ameraucanas are a breed which derived from Easter Eggers (not the other way around, contrary to popular belief), noted for their slate legs, blue eggs, and recognized color varieties. Examples include Blue, Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, and so forth. :)

While the definition of Easter Egger pretty much translates to any cross carrying the blue egg gene, hatchery EEs almost certainly aren't just mutts with Ameraucana in the mix. If they truly consisted of any breed thrown together, we'd end up with birds that look nothing alike....wildly varying comb types, crests, feathered legs, ect.. They're Easter Egger X Easter Egger (as shown by videos from hatchery stock). Technically, though, "homemade" EEs can be created using Ameraucanas. :D

As far as EE features, they generally are marked by beard/muffs (some lack this), green legs, pea combs, stunning plumage varieties without name, and wide range of egg colors. However, there are often exceptions to some of these rules, since EEs don't go by standard. :)
